My wife

She's just a wonderful person, the best that I could find
A charitable soul too, so faithful and kind.
She's stood by me all along since the day that we were wed
And she'll continue to do so, till the day that I am dead.

I seldom say I love her---but she knows that I do
And for long into the future I'll be faithful and true
And she in her turn, as the years go rolling by
Will stand by my side---though I can't imagine why.

For I've given her so little and I've taken so much
I'm just a hopeless case and probably stay as such
But we'll gone on she and I no matter what the fates send
Hand in hand together until the very end.

                           Bob Ollier
